Nearly 5,000 Cambodians Celebrate Khmer New Year in Japan’s Keyaki Park
(Japan): Nearly 5,000 Cambodians gathered in Keyaki Park on Sunday (Apr. 12) for a vibrant “Khmer Sangkran in Japan” festival marking the Cambodian Traditional New Year, Year of the Horse.
Organised by Cambodia’s Ministry of Labour, the event was presided over by Secretary of State Haing Tola, representing Labour Minister Heng Sour. It drew a large turnout of Cambodian students, trainees, and workers, along with national and international guests.
During the celebration, New Year greetings and well wishes were conveyed from Prime Minister Hun Manet and First Lady Pich Chanmony Hun Manet to Cambodians living, working, and studying across Japan.
Participants took part in merit-making activities to honour fallen soldiers and pray for peace, while a special booth allowed attendees to send messages of support and remembrance to members of the military.
The festival also highlighted Khmer cuisine, local products, and cultural performances.
The event was organised in collaboration with the Cambodian Embassy in Japan and several community groups. In 2026, a total of 13 Khmer New Year celebrations are being held across Japan, with the Ibaraki event being the largest.=FRESH NEWS

kompletna baza svih medija, uređena tako da korisnicima pruži
jednostavan izbor i brz pristup. Vezano za medije, Google, Facebook i
ostali pretraživaći nude drugačiji concep baze u odnosu na Sedma Sila.
Stalno radimo na poboljšanju funkcionalnosti i dizajniranju platforme.
Naša Misija je da medijske informacije dostupne na Webu, prikupimo,
kategorijski uredimo i prezentujemo korinicima kroz „Novi Internet
Concept“.
Nismo zadovoljni onim što smo uradili. To nas pokreće da nastavimo sa
usavršavanjem projekta.
