Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing hands over keys to new home to another Belizean family

By Zoila Palma: On May 29, 2026, the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) handed over another starter home to a long-time resident of the Buttonwood Bay area in Belize City. “For 41 years, the recipient built her life within the community, but decades of wear eventually left her home unsafe and deteriorated,” MIDH noted. The MIDH team, in collaboration with Area Representative Kareem Musa stepped in to ensure the recipient is now the proud owner of a resilient new home that will provide the comfort and safety she deserves for years to come.
