NCDC told to prioritise Disability Inclusion
National Capital District Commission (NCDC) has been urged to make disability inclusion part of its core responsibilities, with Manager of Economic and Business Development Branch under the Social Development Directorate, Busa Jeremiah Wenogo, admitting the Commission lacks a dedicated unit to coordinate disability programs.
Wenogo told the NCD Disability Sector Dialogue in Port Moresby today that while branches such as Family and Sports sometimes touch on disability, “we do not have at the moment a function within NCDC to deal with disability.”
