Port Moresby Nature Park launches Trash To Treasure sculpture festival
To mark World Environment Day on June 5, 2026, Port Moresby Nature Park officially launched its annual BSP Trash to Treasure Sculpture Festival. Joined by students from Bavaroko Elementary School, the opening ceremony kicked off a month-long community exhibition running from June 5 to July 7, 2026.
The BSP Trash to Treasure Festival has become a platform that brings together schools, students, artists, and the wider community. Over the course of this month-long event, innovative sculptures created from recycled waste collected around Port Moresby will be showcased, highlighting both creativity and environmental responsibility.
