Egypt recovers four artifacts from the the US
Egypt has successfully recovered four artifacts from the US as part of its ongoing efforts to repatriate antiquities illegally smuggled out of the country.
The artifacts arrived in Cairo, where a specialized committee from the Supreme Council of Antiquities received them on Sunday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad.
The pieces were then transferred to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir for examination, documentation, and restoration before being registered and displayed.
This achievement was made possible through the cooperation and coordination of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad, and reflects the strong relationship between Egypt and the US.
