Fundraising campaign underway for Newport man after life altering injury
A FUNDRAISING campaign for a 22-year-old Newport man is taking place in August.
Aaron Donovan suffered life altering conditions after an accident in September 2025.
Since then, Aaron has been paralysed from the chest down and will likely never walk again. Born and bred in the nearby town, Aaron enjoys paint power washing, cleaning gutters, fishing, and playing handball.
A motorcycle run will take place in Newport on August 9. Starting at 12pm, the bike run will leave at 1.30pm from Ahern’s Bar in Newport.
The route will travel through Rear Cross, Kilcommon, Curreeny, Silvermines, Birdhill, and Ballymackeough.
