Big screen returns to Pery Square as Limerick take on Galway in All-Ireland final

Free family event will let thousands of supporters watch the Treaty County’s bid for glory together in the city’s Georgian Quarter Limerick City and County Council and Limerick GAA are to host a free, family-friendly Big Screen event at Pery Square this Sunday, as the county returns to the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship final for the first time since securing four-in-a-row glory in 2023. Limerick will face Galway at Croke Park this Sunday, July 19, with throw-in at 3.30pm, as the Treaty chases a 13th All-Ireland title. While thousands of supporters will make the journey to Dublin, the Pery Square screening will give fans who stay behind the chance to soak up the occasion together in the heart of Limerick city. The event follows the success of the live screening of the 2023 All-Ireland final at the same venue, which drew thousands of fans and saw live images beamed into Croke Park during the game to show the team the scale of support back home. Entertainment on the day will include music from Martin Cosgrave, special guests and DJs, along with face painters and family-friendly activities.
