Limerick man set to go the extra mile
A LIMERICK man is set to go the extra mile (and many more besides) in the name of a vital Limerick charity.
On July 17, Alan Gill will set out from Limerick and cycle along the west coast of Ireland to Donegal, before setting across east towards the Giant’s Causeway and Larne, all in the name of raising funds of Limerick Suicide Watch.
All in all, the charitable cycle will see Alan pedal 700 kilometres (434 miles) through “some of Ireland’s toughest coastal terrain”.
Ahead of setting off, Alan, who hopes to raise €1,800 from his mission, said that “any support, no matter the size, is greatly appreciated and makes a real difference”.
Donations towards the mammoth cycle can be made on gofundme.com/f/limerick-to-larne-for-limerick-suicide-watch.
