Finnish Defence Forces to join France Nat´l Day parade
The Finnish Defence Forces join the parade marking the National Day of France scheduled to be held on Tuesday, said an official press release on Monday.
France will organise a military parade on the Champs-Elysées marking the National Day and the theme of the parade is the strategic awakening of Europe.
The Finnish Defence Forces sent a swallow-tailed state flag, Colour Guard and Colour Party of 12 soldiers consisting of conscripts and regular personnel to the parade.
The Finnish detachment is from the Guard Jaeger Regiment.
Previously, the Finnish Defence Forces participated in the parade in 2025 and 2019.
President Alexander Stubb, who already arrived in Paris on Monday will also attend the event.
The Bastille Day parade organised on the National Day of France is one of Europes most prominent military events.
The parade will consist of approximately 6,700 people, 300 vehicles, 90 airplanes, 32 helicopters and 190 horses.
President of French Emmanuel Macron, will preside over the parade for the last time as President.
